Chapter 9: Thank You, Allah [The Secret Meaning of 'BERSYUKUR' (Thankful)]

Assalamualaikum wbt. and Hey,guys...

I'm sorry 'coz I don't update my blog during the past because of my preparation to pursue my study in Shah Alam. Yes.. Shah Alam... But I pursue my study at Management and Science University (MSU), situated inside the suburb of Shah Alam... Ok, back to the topic, guyz. Thankful.

Kaito: What a damn lame word.
Me: Shush it, Kaito.
Kaito: *snobbishly walked away*

There. Why I choose this topic? Don't think like what Kaito told you just now. I just want to share this topic with you guys on how we want to be thankful for what we've got since we're born to this world. There's a good friend of mine (Ya Allah, please bless him for his good deeds) who we always have our usual conversation about our life and then he gave a link of an online newspaper. At that time, I just read the article without asking him, and then I said to him that I already read that article. But then he said to me;

"Read the other articles as well. You will understand what am I saying just now,"

Just then, my curiosity rose up unexpectedly. I wonder of what he just saying just now. when I read another 2 articles with the same theme, now I understand what he want to say at that time. The articles are all about the elders. Yes, it's about the elderly, but what he want to say is there are a lot of people who still don't have enough money to survive in this urbanized country. Nowadays, when we still followed the updates on fashions, trends, gossips and so on, some of us; mostly, will not realized that there are a lot of unfortunate people who only have just a few bucks enough for food and other needs. I'm not blaming everyone about this but at least have some sense towards these people. The management itself needs to be improve more so that these people can have an easier life although it's just a few hundred ringgit or other common needs such as toiletries, food or clothes. That's where the elements of thankfulness comes in. We need to be thankful to our God for all the 'luxury' that we have until now. Being thankful is not just praying for what we have. We also can convey our thankfulness by sharing our 'luxury' with them. How we want to convey it? Well, it's up to you on how to convey it but for my case, I'll donate some of my things that I rarely used it and give it to them or donate some money to them. There are a lot of ways on how to convey our thankfulness.

"Open your heart, open your mind, think again, observe them, not watch them,"

Just look at this picture, for example. An elder woman shed tears when she visits her and hold her hand with full of love and care. From others' point of view, it would seems like it's just a normal greetings, but, when we put ourselves in their shoes, you will understand how their feelings at that time. They feel that there are others who still cares for them, love them, cherish them, and the most important part is they appreciate the one who could come and have a small chit-chat with them. They feel grateful and they know that it's hard to find someone who cares about them the most. The feeling of gratitude. It's like a powerful command that sometimes we can feel it will change our thinking skills a bit. Gratitude towards our God, gratitude towards people and surroundings are also one of the elements that we should have in order for us to become a better person in the future. Be grateful for what Allah SWT has given us the 'luxury' and learn on how to convey our gratitude towards others.

“In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.”

So, guys. Try not to think it in general. Try to think from the others' point of view. It'll took a lot of time to understand it as it is a subjective words but one day, you will understand of what's the importance of feeling gratitude in our life.

So, this is only a little bit of chattering about this chapter. Please forgive me if I had talked rudely in this post and by the way, it's my opinion about this topic as everyone has their own opinions about it. So, don't worry about that and have a nice day, everyone. See you on my next chapter... Bye-bye and Assalamualaikum wbt.
